Prof. (Mrs.) Rebecca Dei Mensah

Prof. (Mrs.) Rebecca Dei Mensah is a Professor of Human Resource Management with the School of Business, College of Humanities and Legal Studies, University of Cape Coast. She holds a PhD. in Human Resource Management, from Kenyatta University, Nairobi, an MBA in Human Resource Management from University of Ghana, Legon and a Bachelor's degree in Secretaryship from the University of Cape Coast. She is a Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management (CIHRM), Ghana, an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), UK and a Member of Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), USA.  She has published widely in Human Resource Management and also has a number of collaborative publications in areas of business including marketing, hospitality management and management. Rebecca’s research interests include Training and Development, Talent Management, Change Management, Emotional Intelligence, Wellbeing and Engagement, and Work-Life Balance. She has been the Head of the Department of Human Resource Management, the Senior Hall Tutor in VALCO Hall, the largest Hall in the University and also serves a number of University boards and committees.  She has taught and continue to teach, supervise and mentor students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  With regard to research, she has supervised several undergraduate student projects; about 100 Masters theses and three PhD theses.  Rebecca is someone who can inspire confidence and is always prepared to go the extra mile to promote the interest of people she comes into contact with.  She is friendly, hardworking, reliable, result-oriented, humble and principled.
