WHO AM I?

I am a dynamic, diligent, focused, goal-directed and self-motivated University administrator; an initiator of positive change; a sticker for policy and regulations; good industrial/public relations; appreciable interpersonal skills; ability to work with minimum or no supervision and handle confidential documents/matters; capacity to manage/complete tasks/duties within stipulated deadlines and thus ability to deliver work output under pressure; a good problem solver; a good team player who mixes well with others; and one who is willing to learn more. I aim not only to become an efficient and effective university administrator, but even a knowledgeable minister of God (clergy) with integrity and power.

AREAS OF SPECIALISATION/INTERESTS: Human Resource Management, Employee Training and Development, Employee Advancement/Promotion, Office Practice and Procedures, Work Ethics, Protagonist of Institutional Culture/Values, Administrative Write-ups, etc. 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

 Assisting the Director in co-ordinating activities of the various sections/units of the Directorate; 

Acting on behalf of the Director and/or in her absence; 

Head, Consular and Immigration Services (CIS) Section – introducing staff to various high commissions/embassies for visas; appealing to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to intervene for University staff who have been refused visas to be reconsidered by high commissions/embassies; introducing visiting faculty to the Ghana Immigration Service for residence and work permits; introducing staff and their dependants to the Director of Passports for the issuance or renewal of passports;

Managing the functioning of relevant boards and committees; 

Championing the evolution and dissemination of policy; 

Supervising the drafting, submission, implementation and tracking of action plans by sections/units of the Directorate;  

Facilitating the training of staff at the Directorate; 

Drafting letters/memoranda;

Running administrative errands/follow-ups;

Performing any other duties assigned by the Director/Registrar.
