About

Justice K. G. Agyenim Boateng (PhD) is a Lecturer at the Department of Education Programmes, College of Distance Education at the University of Cape Coast (UCC). Justice is also the Coordinator for Partnerships, Centre-Based and Outreach Programmes .He is an astute lecturer and administrator with a great depth of experience in the tertiary education landscape of Ghana. He has more than seven peer reviewed articles in scopus indexed journals.

He has championed major reforms that have led to restructuring of affiliation and its related issues at UCC. Through his instrumentality, the Institutional Affiliation Office of UCC was established and he has superintended over this office since 2014. He has written several memoranda and also developed guidelines, manuals, Memoranda of Understanding (MoU), Affiliation Agreement and other documents which have been endorsed by the Committee on Institutional Affiliation and finally implemented by the University.

UCC has now become an enviable destination for affiliation as a result of the innovative ideas, policies and structures he helped implemented over the years. Currently the University has 74 affiliate tertiary institutions, including public and private. Aside these 66 mainstream institutions, Mr. Boateng played a key role in affiliating more than 36 Nursing and Midwifery Training Colleges running the Post Nurse Assistant Clinical and Post Nurse Assistant Preventive (Post NAC/NAP) Programmes to UCC. This affiliation has led to the upgrade of the certificates awarded to Post NAC/NAP students to Diploma in Midwifery with the pioneer students graduating in 2019. He was also a member of the UCC team that defended the curriculum of the Diploma in Midwifery programme at the then National Accreditation Board (NAB) now Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).

Justice has represented the University at several functions in other tertiary institutions. He is also a member of the team of reviewers from the University that inspected new Colleges of Education to be affiliated to UCC in 2016. He is now the secretary to the Committee on Institutional Affiliation of UCC.

Justice holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Management Education), Master of Business Administration (Human Resource), Master of Education (Business Option) and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Cape Coast.  His research interests are Corporate Governance, Employee Retention, Talent Management, Succession Management, Compensation Management and Strategic HRM.

Dr. Boateng is a member of the University Teachers Association of Ghana-UCC Branch, Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants-Ghana (CIAMC) and an Affiliate of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana (IPR).
