Mrs. Stella Afutu holds a Master of Philosophy in Administration in Higher Education (2020-2023), a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management (2016-2017), and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Sociology (2007-2011), all from the University of Cape Coast. Stella is also an Associate Member (ChPA) of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consult (CIAMC) since 2020.
Stella has showcased her proficiency through diverse administrative roles. From 2013 to 2018, she served as a Senior Administrative Assistant and further promoted to her current position as the Principal Administrative Assistant in October 2018. Her commitment and valuable contributions earned her recognition, notably receiving the Promising Administrator award at the University of Cape Coast Staff Annual Reward and Recognition ceremony in December 2018. Recently, she received the Dean's Special Award for Distinguished Administrator in the School of Allied Health Sciences on June 26, 2024.
Stella actively participates in workshops, conferences, and seminars to enhance her skills and knowledge. She has been involved in various committees and boards within her institution, contributing to its effective functioning and development. She has served and continues to serve numerous statutory Boards and Committees as Secretary/Recorder at the University of Cape Coast, notable among these are School Board, Appointment and Promotions Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Awards Committee, Academic Planning and Quality Assurance Committee, Staff welfare committee, among others. Additionally, she engages in community service activities, exemplifying her commitment to social responsibility.
Stella's research interests lie in Higher Education leadership development, Student development and Human Resource development, reflecting her commitment to academic and professional growth.
One of her significant accomplishments includes her pivotal role in establishing the School of Allied Health Sciences.
Stella is a member of the Chartered Institute for Administrators and Management Consult (CIAMC) since 2020, reflecting her dedication to professional development and networking within her field.
