About

I am a Physicist, Medical Physics researcher, educator and STEM mentor committed to advancing scientific knowledge while creating greater opportunities for women and girls to participate, progress and lead in STEM.

I currently serve as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Physics at the University of Cape Coast, where I contribute to undergraduate physics education, practical teaching, student development and departmental academic activities. I am also pursuing a PhD in Medical Physics at the University of Ghana.

My research interests are in diagnostic medical physics, X-ray imaging, fetal dosimetry and fetal dose estimation. My doctoral research focuses on fetal dosimetry and the development and evaluation of approaches for estimating fetal radiation dose associated with diagnostic X-ray imaging.

Beyond research and teaching, I am passionate about mentoring students and strengthening the participation, visibility and leadership of women in physics and STEM.

I currently serve as Patron of Women in Physics at the University of Cape Coast and have contributed to the organization of STEMINAR, a women-in-STEM initiative. My earlier leadership experience also includes serving as Women Organizer of the Physics Students Association Ghana at the University of Cape Coast.

My emerging leadership agenda brings together four interconnected areas:

• Research and scientific excellence

STEM education and mentoring

• Gender equity and evidence-based advocacy

• Strategic partnerships and resource mobilization

I believe that increasing women's participation in STEM requires more than encouragement. It requires evidence, mentorship, access to opportunities, supportive institutions and sustained investment in talent.

I am interested in collaborations around women in Physics, STEM education and mentoring, Medical Physics, Radiation Dosimetry, research development and gender-responsive approaches to STEM leadership.
