About

Ebenezer Oduro Antiri is a Lecturer in the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation, Faculty of Science and Technology Education. His research develops and applies feasible, scalable, and technology-supported health promotion interventions, with a focus on improving health outcomes across school, community, occupational, and environmental settings.

He earned his PhD in Health Promotion in 2025 from the University of Cape Coast, and holds degrees in Medical Informatics (MSc, Technische Hochschule Deggendorf, Germany) and Optometry (OD, University of Cape Coast), as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Education.

Having a multidisciplinary background, Dr. Antiri's work is principally concerned with improving population health through the intersection of health promotion, sports and performance vision, and health education. A key dimension of his work focuses on the education and training of future Physical Education and Health educators, equipping them with knowledge and applied health skills, including digital health integration and exercise intervention design, to promote optimal performance and wellbeing in school and athletic settings. He is a key member of the Cardiometabolic Epidemiology Research Laboratory, where he works to translate evidence into practical frameworks and interventions that educators and practitioners can use to better serve students, athletes, and communities.
