About

Roger is a lecturer of Teacher Education and Development. He holds a PhD in Education from Canterbury Christ Church University, UK. Roger previously studied in the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, between 2007 and 2011 for his first degree in Psychology. He also holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership, Policy and Development from the University of Bristol, UK (2014). Roger is interested in researching teacher education and educational policy. 

Roger is an alumnus of the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Commission, UK; Commonwealth Scholars and Fellows Alumni, Ghana (CoSFAG); and the South West Regional Network, UK (Commonwealth Scholars). He is currently a reviewer for the Athens Journal of Education, and Practice: Contemporary Issues in Practitioner Education Journal and a member of British Association for International and Comparative Education (BAICE), UK and Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER), Athens, Greece.

I believe that teaching should be a collaborative activity aimed at the holistic development of the learner. That way, learners would be empowered to become responsible life-long learners. I promote this in my teaching by fostering reflection, critical thinking and active participation in my lessons.
