University of Cape Coast

Gabriel Keney is a monitoring and evaluation professional and Principal Research Assistant at the Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance (DAPQA) at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He has been at UCC since 2011. He has been using various research and evaluation designs, data collection procedures and analytical tools to capture students, faculty and staff information. The results are used for decision making, policy analysis, strategic planning, mandated reporting and academic program reviews.

Gabriel is a member of the Ghana Monitoring and Evaluation Forum (GMEF) and has volunteered for AfrEA (Reviewer, 10th AfrEA Conference), GMEF, AfrEA YEE, P2P+ Initiative and the World Evaluation Case Competition.

Gabriel holds an MSc degree in Monitoring and Evaluation at Christian Service University College Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Geography and Sociology from the University of Cape Coast, a Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration in 2016 and currently a PhD student in Educational Research, Measurement and Evaluation (concentration in Program Evaluation) at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
