Joseph Kwame Mintah is an Associate Professor of Physical Education and Sport Psychology. He was one of the sixteen pioneers to graduate with a Bachelor of Education Degree in Physical Education from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana in 1990. From 1990 to 1993, Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah worked in the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation as a Demonstrator in charge of Theory and Practice of Soccer. In August 1993, Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah was awarded a scholarship from the School of Health, Physical Education and Leisure Studies (HPELS) of the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa in USA to study for his Master of Arts in Physical Education degree. Upon completion of his Master's degree in 1995, he continued to pursue his Doctor of Education degree in Physical Education and Sport Psychology and graduated in 2001. Between 2001 and 2010, Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah lectured at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California in USA where he rose through the ranks of Associate Professor to Full Professor. In May 2011, Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah returned to the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation in the University of Cape Coast. He is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology Education. Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah is a soccer coach, an Elite Confederation of African Football (CAF) Instructor, and was the Psychologist of the Ghana Black Stars between 2013 and 2017.
