I like to utilize problem based learning approaches as a practical way to help students gain professional competencies in the areas of Geospatial data collection, data storage and management, spatial and statistical data analysis and visualization and academic writing. By giving students the opportunity to find practical solutions to realworld problems their creativity is unleashed and their confidence grows exponentially. I also regularly utilize one-on-one mentoring and the trainer-of-trainers model to help impart life long lessons and skills.
