About

Prof. Benjamin Anderson is a Professor of Physics at the University of Cape Coast. He has developed his career in Ghana, Sweden and Italy. He holds a PhD degree in Physics (Optical Physics Option) from the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast, Ghana, obtained in 2010. He completed his PhD degree on a sandwich basis at the University of Cape Coast and the Lund Laser Centre, Department of Physics, Lund Technical Institute, University of Lund, Lund, Sweden. The International Programme in the Physical Sciences (IPPS) of the International Science Programme (ISP) at Uppsala University sponsored his PhD programme. An MSc (Optical Physics) from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, in 2004, also partly funded by the Office of External Activities (OEA) at Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), and a BSc (Physics) from the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast, Ghana, in 1997.

Prof Benjamin Anderson's research interests include applied optics, optoelectronics, agrophotonics, biophotonics, and medical optics. He has researched and applied optical and imaging spectroscopy in agriculture, medicine, aquatic sciences research, and teaching since 2003.
