Prof. Siaw Frimpong is an Associate professor in Finance at Department of Finance, School of Business at the College of Humanities and Legal Studies. He joined the University as an Assistant Lecturer in September 2003. Prior to that he was a Teaching Assistant with the then Department of Business Studies from 1997 to 1998.
Prof. Frimpong was the Vice Dean of the School of Business from August 2015 to July 2019. Prior to that he was the Head, Department of Accounting and Finance from August 2014 to July 2016 and August 2009 to September 2010.
Prof. Siaw Frimpong’s research and publications are in the areas of financial inclusion, financial literacy and financial planning, small business finance and working capital management. His teaching interest is in the areas of Financial Management, Investment Management, Corporate Finance, International Finance and Strategic Leadership.
Prof. Siaw Frimpong has served on a number of Boards within the University and outside the University. He is a board member of Okomfo Anokye Rural Bank, SEDAT Consult Ltd. and Loyalty Insurance Company Ltd.
Prof. Siaw Frimpong’s academic qualifications include PhD (Kenya), Master of Business in Finance and Diploma for Graduates (New Zealand); Bachelor of Commerce (Ghana) and Diploma in Education (Ghana). He is a member of International Council for Small Business.
