Dr. (Mrs). Joana Eva Dodoo is a Lecturer with the Department of Business Programmes, College of Distance Education (CoDE), University of Cape Coast (UCC), Ghana. Currently, she is the Departmental Registration and Examination Officer at CoDE. Dr. Dodoo teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, and also supervises and examines project work and graduate dissertations at both the Bachelors and Masters levels.
She obtained her first degree in Bachelor of Education and Master of Business Administration with specialization in Human Resource Management from the University of Cape Coast. Dr. Dodoo obtained a PhD (Human Resource Management) from the Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia with research focus on Occupational Safety and Health. She recently completed the Professional Leadership Empowerment Academy with University at Baffalo, United States of America. She is currently on a second Master’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health with the International Training Centre – International Labour Organization in Collaboration with School of Development Studies, University of Turin, Italy.
Dr. Dodoo’s research focuses on occupational safety and health, digital health technology usage behaviour, technology and occupational safety management, leadership, quality and performance management and employability skills and competency development for undergraduate students.
Dr. Dodoo has won a number of awards and fellowships with the latest being the award of Research Support Grant with the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Consultancy, UCC, and International Labour Organisation’s partial fellowship in Master of Occupational Safety and Health - 2021. She has participated and presented research findings in a number of international conferences and Webinars such as the International Webinar on Digital Health, the New Normal: Innovation and Acceptance in Africa, organized by the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South, Pakistan (2022), XXII World Congress on Safety and Health at Work (2021), International Ergonomics Association’s 21st Triennial World Congress (2021). She has a number of publications to her credit with some featuring in Journals such as of Safety Science, Behaviour & Information Technology, Technology in Society, Health and Technology, International Journal of Medical Informatics, Journal of Public Health, Management Review Quarterly.
