Julius Maks Mawutornam Zaney is a Junior Assistant Registrar and the Assistant Head of School of the University of Cape Coast Junior High School, South Campus. He graduated with a Master of Education Degree in Administration in Higher Education in 2022, a Master of Philosophy Degree in Population and Health in 2015 and Bachelor of Education Degree in Population and Family Life Education in 2003. All three degrees from the University of Cape Coast. His areas of specialisation are Administration in Higher Education, Population and Health and Population and Family Life. Other areas of interest are Population and Crime, Stroke, Childhood Cancer and Education and Development.
As a professional teacher with over 20 years of experience, he trains and mentors teacher-trainees from OLA College of Education (Cape Coast), University of Cape Coast and University of Education, Winneba. He has played so many leadership roles in his professional career and served on so many committees. He has served on the University of Cape Coast Basic School Governing Committee for many years, been a member of the University Junior High School Management Committee, Selection and Appointment Committee, a Coordinator, chaired the Budget committee of University Junior High School, a member of the Strategic Planning and Implementation Committee and has been the Secretary to the University Basic School Teachers Association.
He also plays leadership roles in his community and engages in community mobilisation through which he leads in mobilising resources to improve the socio-economic status of his compatriots. He is married with three children, holds family and societal values in high esteem and loves reading, writing and playing or watching football matches.
