A licensed Medical Laboratory Scientist with expertise and much interest in blood haematinics (vitamin B12 and folate) deficiencies and their role in the regulation of normal body metabolism as well as contribution towards the development of metabolic disorders. My PhD and Masters degrees in Medical Sciences and Haematology were obtained from the University Warwick (Coventry) and Westminster (London), respectively.
Following the completion of my PhD, I worked as a Research Associate at the Warwick Medical School and played a key role in the project ''Evaluation of an organisational-level monetary incentive to promote the health and wellbeing of workers in small and medium-sized enterprises: A mixed-methods cluster randomised controlled trial '' (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37410723/). This was followed by a fantastic industrial exposure via my appointment as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (R&D) at the Randox Laboratories, UK (https://www.randox.com/), where I played a key role in the UK National Covid-19 Molecular Testing from 2020-2021.
My academic career at the University of Cape Coast began with my appointment as Lecturer at the Department of Medical Laboratory Science in 2021. Currently, I am also a Hall Tutor and Patron of the Parliamentary Council at the Casely Hayford Hall of the same University. I also serve, in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science, as the coordinator for the Sandwich Program and Patron of the Medical Laboratory Science Students' Association (MELSSA).
Externally, I am a coordinator (adjunct) for the Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science (MLSD) program at KAAF University College and a visiting faculty to the College of Health, Yamfo.
