Richard Okyere Boadu, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer , Research and Quality Assurance coordinator at the Department of Health Information Management in University of Cape Coast of Ghana. Prior to his current appointment, he worked with various international NGOs and Ghana Catholic Health Service as Strategic Information Monitoring & Evaluation Advisor. Dr. Boadu has over two decades experience in strategic management information system, monitoring, evaluation and research in different donor funded projects in health (e.g. maternal, children and newborn health, community health service planning [CHPS], malaria and HIV/AIDs). He has a BSc. in Computer Science, an MSc. in Health Services Planning and Management and a PhD in Public Health, all from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana as well as a diploma in Management Information Systems from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration. He is also an Institute for Healthcare Improvement, USA-trained, certified and practicing Improvement Advisor as well as a Certified Project Manager for Development. Dr. Boadu’s area of research focus includes routine health information management, quality improvement, maternal, newborn and child health, mHealth.
