Ivan Eduku Mozu, PharmD, PhD, is a Clinical Pharmacist with strong interests in clinical research particularly focused on pharmacoepidemiology and, health economics and outcomes. His works focuses on integrating pharmacists into patient care, particularly in chronic disease management, while leveraging real-world evidence to drive healthcare policy and practice. Dr. Mozu’s research explores the impact of pharmacist-led interventions on healthcare outcomes and the economic benefits of these interventions on healthcare teams and health systems in general. He has worked on the optimization of pharmacist-driven telehealth services in resource-limited environments. He also assesses and actively promotes cost-effectiveness and long-term benefits of pharmacist-led interventions in clinical settings by providing data-driven policy recommendations. With a keen interest in real-world evidence generation, he actively studies the safety, effectiveness, and utilization patterns of medicines, thus contributing to the pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacovigilance research that informs clinical guidelines and regulatory decisions. His work in pharmacovigilance focuses on identifying and mitigating medication-related risks, ensuring safer therapeutic outcomes for patients. Dr. Mozu is a member of the International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE), the International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISoP), and the Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR). His goal is to advance pharmacy practice in Ghana by championing pharmacist-led initiatives that improve patient outcomes, enhance healthcare system efficiency, and shape evidence-based health policies.
