About

Rev. Prof. Seth Asare-Danso is a Professor of Religious and Moral Education. He is an educationist, a religious and moral educator, a theologian, an administrator, a social anthropologist and an expert in curriculum design. He has been engaged in teaching, research and community service since he joined the university in 2001. He has joined a team of researchers at his faculty to design curriculum documents for a number of tertiary institutions in Ghana. He has served as Head of Department and Vice Dean of a Faculty. Besides, he has served on a number of Committees, Boards and Councils within and outside the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He has twenty-six years of teaching experience, with six years teaching experience at a College of Education, and twenty years of teaching experience at the University. He also has one-year teaching experience at Nellerupgaardskolen (a folkeskole) at Gilleleje, Denmark. He has been serving as the Protestant Chaplain of the University of Cape Coast since 1st January 2010. He is also a Reverend Minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.

My teaching philosophy is to facilitate learning, in order to empower the learner to acquire knowledge, and develop generic skills and moral competencies to become intellectually sound, spiritually developed, emotionally balanced and physically fit to contribute towards the socio-economic and political transformation of society. This philosophy will be achieved by engaging learners in the use of practical activities like games and simulations, demonstrations, role plays and recitals, use of videos, group work and study visit to important religious and historic sites.
