Yaw Opoku-Boahen is currently a full professor of Natural Products Chemistry at the University of Cape Coast. His inaugural lecture was on the topic: Phytochemistry, My contribution to the search for biologically active compounds. He has a wide range of experience in teaching and research at the university level. He is able to work on his own initiative and as part of a team. He has also acquired leadership skills involving heading an academic department/vice dean and motivating staff to achieve the objectives of the department. He is dedicated to maintaining high level quality standards both in teaching, research and outreach programmes.
He is the co-founder of the Passover Ministry, a Christian deliverance and healing ministry filled with the works and the anointing power of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
