Boadu, Kwasi Opoku is my name. I was employed to the Industrial Chemistry Unit, Department of Chemistry, University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast, Ghana in 2006 as a lecturer. Through excellent lecturing, extensive research and hard work, I got promoted to the rank of a Senior Lecturer in 2012. My research works are mainly in the following areas: Oil and Gas Fields Chemicals, Chemical Processing, Environmental Remediation, Nanotechnology and Materials Science. Currently, I am working on removal of contaminants in used lubricating oils using chemically activated carbon adsorbents from agricultural by-products. Also, I have held several Management positions, Community Service and vast lecturing experience in the following subjects: Chemical Plant Design, Separation Process Principles, Chemical Plant Safety, Petroleum Chemistry, Refinery Technology, Transport Phenomena, Project Management, Management Skills, Chemical Process Industries and Process Economics. Further, I am a results-oriented, analytical team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

My teaching philosophy is to emphasis on building students' independent study habits and ensure they link theory with practicals. Even when students are engaged in a lesson, I find they often forget essential details because they haven't learned how to properly review material and applied on their own.
