Dr Innocent Senyo Kwasi Acquah is a Senior Lecturer in Procurement and Supply Chain Management and the Doctoral Programmes Coordinator at the School of Business, University of Cape Coast. He is the Professional Programmes Accreditations Lead for Procurement and Supply Chain Management programmes and the Coordinator of the CIPS-accredited MSc. & M.com (Procurement and Supply Chain Management) programmes.
He holds a PhD in Supply Chain Management from the University of KwaZulu Natal, an LLM in Public Procurement Law and Policy from the University of Nottingham, an MSc. in Supply Chain Management from Coventry University, an M.com in Marketing and a Bachelor of Management Studies from the University of Cape Coast. He also holds Professional, Advanced, and Foundation Diplomas in Procurement and Supply from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), UK.
Dr Acquah currently Chairs the Ghana Branch of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply UK. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), UK, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, UK. Besides being an examiner for the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) since 2015, Dr Acquah has also served as an assessor for the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, UK.
He is an astute researcher whose research focuses on procurement, logistics, supply chain management, sustainability, and green business. He has over twenty-three publications in reputable international journals and books indexed in Scopus and the Thomson Reuters Master Journal List. He serves as a reviewer for several leading international peer-reviewed journals and conferences, for which he has performed over seventy verified peer reviews for leading peer-reviewed international journals.
Dr Acquah has experience teaching Procurement, Supply Chain management and marketing courses at the bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, PhD and Corporate Program levels. He also provides training and consultancy services in procurement and supply chain management.
Innocent is the winner of several awards, including the International Purchasing and Supply Education and Research Association’s (IPSERA) “Doctoral Bursary” in 2019 and the University of Cape Coast’s “Best College-Level Researcher Award” for the College of Humanities and Legal Studies in 2021.
