Daniel Ofori, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer in Procurement and Supply Chain Management in the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, at the University of Cape Coast. He obtained his PhD in Business Administration with specialisation in sustainable waste management among households from the University of Cape Coast. He also has MSc in Finance from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. He holds Professional Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Diploma in Procurement and Supply from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS, UK). He is also a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). He holds a certificate in Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) in Africa from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). 

Dr Ofori is very active in teaching and research with publications in sustainability in supply chains, circular economy, green consumerism and marketing, electronic business, sustainable consumption, and production. He has authored six (6) book chapters and fifteen (15) peer reviewed articles focusing on green marketing, social media and public sector communication, sustainable plastic and electronic waste management in Ghana, highlighting his commitment to addressing pressing environmental and social challenges within the sub-region. 

In addition to teaching at the postgraduate and undergraduate levels, he also contributes to administrative duties including the design new programmes while updating existing ones especially BCom  Procurement and Supply Chain Management.  Dr Ofori also leads ongoing joint research between the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management and the Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance (DAPQA). The research aims at assessing student satisfaction with university services. Dr Ofori is an academic advisor for Level 100 students, Registration and Examinations Officer for the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management.

On the international stage, He has contributed to waste management projects within the EU-funded Switch African Green programme, accumulating substantial expertise through his engagement with the informal sector within the electronic and plastic waste value chains. Daniel has been part of a team for the establishment of a One-stop shop Eco-business and Policy Centre for eco-innovative MSMEs (https://ecobpc.com/), and Electronic Waste Management in Ghana (E-MAGIN) (https://web.facebook.com/EMaginGhana), under the Switch Africa Green (SAG) phase I and II projects respectively. His involvement extends to being an active stakeholder and regular participant in the Switch Africa Green Regional Networking Forum, enabling him to forge valuable connections with sector experts across Africa.
