Dr. Peter Boakye is a lecturer at the Department of History, University of Cape Coast. He comes from Juaben in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He is a product of Juaben Senior High School, Accra College of Education and the University of Cape Coast. He holds Teacher's Cert "A" (Accra College of Education), B. Ed. (Arts) Hons., M. Phil. (History) and a PhD (History) from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. His PhD Thesis was on A History of Politics in Education in Ghana, 1852 -2008. He teaches Colonial Ghana, 1874-1957 and World Civilizations in the Department of History. His research interests cover issues related to history of education in Ghana, political history of Africa and church history.
