Mrs. Joyce Maame Esi Amarteifio is a dedicated accounting professional with over eighteen years of experience in financial management and university administration. She currently serves as a Principal Accounting Assistant at the University of Cape Coast (UCC), where she contributes to sound financial governance, accountability, and operational efficiency.

She holds an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce degree, both from the University of Cape Coast, and is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) and the ICAG Cape Coast District Society.

Throughout her service at UCC, Mrs. Amarteifio has worked with key administrative units such as the Directorate of University Health Services, the Sasakawa Guest Centre, and the Senior Common Room/VALCO Trust/Alumni Halls. Her work involves financial reporting, budgeting, bank reconciliations, expenditure monitoring, and performance reporting.

She has been instrumental in strengthening financial controls at the Sasakawa Guest Centre, introducing improved accountability mechanisms and documentation processes that enhanced transparency and efficiency.

Mrs. Amarteifio has also served on several University committees and management boards, including the Budget Committee and the Management Boards of the Senior Common Room, VALCO Trust, Alumni Halls, and the Sasakawa Guest Centre.

Her professional interests focus on Hospitality Accounting, with a keen commitment to promoting sustainable financial management in University guest and accommodation facilities. She actively participates in professional development programmes on topics such as financial digitization, ethics, international accounting standards, and the use of technology in accounting practice.

A principled and dependable professional, Mrs. Amarteifio is a member of FUSSAG/Senior Staff Association of Ghana (UCC Local) and the UCC Finance Welfare Association. Outside of work, she enjoys gospel music and cooking.

Through her integrity, diligence, and service, she continues to contribute meaningfully to the University’s vision of excellence, accountability, and efficiency in financial administration.
