Mrs. Diana Asare is an Internal Auditor at the University of Cape Coast. She is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Ghana and the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana with over 9 years Post Qualification experience. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and finance from the University of Cape Coast.
She has a combined experience of over 10 years as an Auditor (both in External Audit and Internal Audit) and an Accounts Officer. She was formerly the Chairperson of the Audit Committee of Elmina Polyclinic and currently a member of the Audit Committee of Nursing Training and Midwifery School, Cape Coast.
Mrs. Diana Asare had attended several Training Workshops and Conferences including the 9th Africa Federation of Institutes of Internal Auditors Conference organised by the Institute of Internal Auditors Ghana, Directorate of Internal Audit Management Retreat, UCC, Cape Coast District Society of ICAG CPD on Tax Regulations, Practice and Deferred Tax, Ethical Behaviour, Information Security and Confidentiality at the Academic Board Chamber-UCC, Directorate of Finance UCC training on International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) held at UCC, Cape Coast District Society of ICAG CPD on Forensic Auditing and Accounting, Pempamsie Hotel, Cape Coast, The Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana 2018 Accountants Conference on the theme; Efficient Service Delivery in the Public Sector: The Role of the Chartered Accountants, Modern City Hotel, Tamale, Cape Coast District Society of ICAG CPD on IFRS Updates held at Senior Common Room UCC, among others.
She has written a number of memorandums, co-written articles and policy documents. This includes Appreciating the Value of Internal Audit, Strategically Positioning the Environmental Health Section to Generate Income, Improving the Operations of the Receptionist at the Emmanuel Adow Obeng Central Administration Building, Customer Service Policy for the University of Cape Coast, among others.
