Dr. Charles Darko-Takyi is a lecturer at the Department of Optometry and Vision Science, University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ophthalmic Science and Doctor of Optometry (OD) Degree from the University of Cape Coast. He holds a Master of Optometry Degree (MOptom) and a Doctor of Philosopher (PhD) Degree in Optometry from the University of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. He is a registered Optometrist with the Allied Health Professions Council of Ghana.

His research interests are in Binocular vision and Accommodation, Clinical Optometry, Refraction and Ophthalmic Optics. Dr. Charles Darko-Takyi is married to Mrs. Nancy Darko-Takyi and they have four children.
