Samuel Kofi Arhin is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Physiology, University of Cape Coast School of Medical Sciences. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the Wenzhou Medical University, China, a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a PhD in Reproductive Physiology also from the Wenzhou Medical University, China,
His PhD thesis was on the topic “Studies on Expression of Facilitated Glucose Transporters (SLC2As) in Mouse Preimplantation Embryo Development” under the supervision of Prof Lv JieQiang (Wenzhou Medical University, China) and Prof Jin Xingliang (University of Sydney Medical School, Australia)
His research interests include, Effect of hyperglycemia on preimplantation embryo development, Abnormal glucose metabolism and infertility, Female infertility and endocrinology, and Effect of environmental pollutants on oocyte and sperm quality.
His work has been published by several top-ranked international journals, including Reproductive Biomedicine Online, PloS one, Health science reports, American Journal of Translational Research, Cellular and Molecular Biology, BMC Women's Health, Biomed Research International, Middle East Fertil Soc Journal and Journal of Women's Health, Issues and Care.
