Mr. Maxwell Abedi is a forensic scientist/Ballistics specialist at the University of Cape Coast, Department of Forensic Sciences. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Criminal Justice (Specialization in Forensic Science, Police Science, and Technology) at the University of South Africa, School of Criminal Justice, College of Law, Department of Police Practice. Mr. Abedi holds a Masters degree in Forensic Physics with a specialization in Forensic Ballistics, Firearm and Toolmark examination. He also holds a certification in cyber security management from the Presbyterian University College, Ghana.
Mr. Abedi's expertise and specialization includes forensic ballistics (firearm and tool mark examination), criminal justice, police science and technology, security studies, fingerprint science, trace evidence, and crime scene investigation/management. He is a member of the African Forensic Science Academy (AFSA) and the Ghana Science Association (GSA). He is also a past member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS).
