Mr. Samuel Incoom is a Senior Auditing Assistant at the Quality Assurance and Follow-Up Section of the Directorate of Internal Audit at the University of Cape Coast. In his current role, he plays a vital part in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our institution's internal audit processes.
Samuel’s responsibilities encompass reviewing reports, conducting follow-ups on published findings, participating in exit conferences, and handling special assignments designated by the Director of Internal Audit.
Before his current position, he worked within the Risk Management Team, where he assisted in facilitating risk management training for various university units.
His academic background includes a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Coast. Professionally, he is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana and the Institute of Internal Auditors, Ghana/Global.
As an Internal Auditor, he brings dedication, integrity, and objectivity to his work in accordance with International Standards. He possesses working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) and Global Internal Audit Standards. Samuel’s skill set also includes strong analytical abilities, risk management proficiency, a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, and substantial experience in accounting and financial processes.
Samuel currently serves as the Treasurer of the Directorate of Internal Audit (DIA) Welfare Association, where he ensures responsible, efficient and effective use of DIA Welfare funds and also prepares final account for accountability purposes. He is a Christian and a member of the Methodist Church, Ghana, Dunwell Society, Apewosika, UCC. He is currently the Secretary of both the Society Lay Movement Council, and the Youth Fellowship and the Financial Secretary of the Youth Fellowship at the Circuit level. He has also served on various committees of the Church including the Conference Hall Committee and the Lay Advisory Committee.
He is committed to continuous professional development and aspires to become a mentor for entry-level Internal Audit staff, sharing his expertise and fostering their growth within the field.
