Raymond Kofinti (PhD) is currently affiliated with the Department of Data Science and Economic Policy. Raymond is an applied economics researcher with interests in welfare economics and global health research. His work involves a multifaceted approach to examining poverty, deprivations, inequalities and health (women and children) using mathematical and applied econometrics techniques. He is particularly fascinated by global health research and has striking data management and analyses acumen.
Raymond has acquired the requisite experience and international exposure from the African Economic Research Consortium and Africa Institute-Western University, London-Ontario, sponsored mobility programmes.
Before being appointed Lecturer in the Department of Data Science and Economic Policy, Raymond worked on various projects for data-producing and research institutions such as Ghana Statistical Service, Directorate of Research Innovation and Consultancy of the University of Cape Coast, and Ghana Inclusive Development Research Network.
