The genesis of Dr. Osman Imoro’s academic and professional journey stems out of his passion for the advancement of knowledge and improving access to scholarly resources. His research and professional activities focus on themes such as responsible adoption of emerging technologies in libraries, digital literacy and competencies, open access publishing, and the role of digital technologies in higher education. Throughout his professional life, he has sought to contribute to the discourse on improving library operations with cutting-edge technologies while safeguarding ethics, equity, and inclusivity.

Dr. Osman Imoro currently serves as the E-resources Librarian for the University of Cape Coast and the Academic Liaison Librarian for the College of Applied and Natural Sciences, University of Cape Coast. He performs additional teaching and supervisory responsibilities at the Department of Information Science. In the Library, he doubles as the Head of the Electronic Resources and Information Literacy Section and the Turnitin Administrator (Student Accounts) for the University of Cape Coast.
