About

Louis is a passionate and an ambitious personality with an excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in various communication media procedures and concepts. Louis possesses the desired leadership traits such as team building, networking and motivational skills with a strong organisational and management skills in decision making and effective problem-solving skills. 

His interests are in Corporate Communication, Media Relations, Public Relations in Higher Education and Digital Communication. Louis holds a Bachelor of Communication Studies and has been working as a Journalist at the Documentation and Information Section under the Directorate of Public Affairs of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) since 2011. Louis also works as a part-time Broadcast Journalist at the Campus Broadcasting Services Centre which also falls within the ambit of the Directorate of Public Affairs, University of Cape Coast.

Over the years, Louis has contributed his quota towards projecting the image of UCC through populating the website of the University with news of events, projects and other activities both within and outside campus. He is a member of the editorial team of some statutory publications of the University like the Vice-Chancellor's Annual Report to Congregation, University Bulletin, UCC at a Glance and Special Gazettes. He is a member of the editorial team that designs and selects pictures for the University Calendar and Diaries. Louis has reported extensively on the activities of three Vice-Chancellors of UCC and assisted in the publication of activities, speeches and memorable pictures of three Vice-Chancellors: Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang (Vice-Chancellor from October 2008- September 2012); Prof. Dowmwini Dabire Kuupole(Vice-Chancellor from October 2012- September 2016) and Prof. Joseph Ghartey Ampiah (Vice-Chancellor, 2016-2020). He is also a member of the UCC Website Team.

Apart from his journalistic expertise, Louis has professional skills in photography and combines writing articles with picture taking.  Louis has played the role as a communication attaché for the UCC Cowpea Project and Institutional Affiliation Office for the UCC Diploma in Midwifery Programme for Post Nurse Assistant Clinical/Preventive (Post NAC/NAP). He was a member of the Publicity sub-committee for the 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) which was hosted by the University of Cape Coast from December 1-6, 2019.
