Lebbaeus Asamani is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the Department of Education and Psychology. He is currently the Head of the Department, and the Vice-Dean of Faculty of Educational Foundations, College of Education Studies, University of Cape Coast. He is a licensed Industrial and Organisational Psychologist, with a niche in Organisational Leadership and workplace health and safety. He holds a PhD and MPhil in Psychology, and a BA (Psychology with Political Science) from the University of Ghana; and Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the University of Cape Coast. His areas of expertise include psychometric assessment and analysis, Assessment at the workplace, Organisational Research, Training and Development, Social Science and Educational Research, and second generation Behavioural Statistical analyses (e.g. Structural Equation Modelling, Higher-order modelling, General Linear Modelling, etc.). He also has expertise in the development and validation of psychological assessment scales, and item analysis. He is proficient in the application of Classical Test, Item Response, and Generalisability theories in educational and other settings.
Prof Asamani is very passionate about quality higher education delivery and upholding educational standards. He has mentored and successfully supervised hundreds of undergraduate students in Psychology, and postgraduate students in the areas of Educational Psychology, Clinical Health Psychology, Special Education, Guidance and Counselling, and Measurement and Evaluation.
