Japhet Kwasi Osiakwan is a mathematics educator at the Department of Mathematics and ICT Education, University of Cape Coast. Japhet’s research focuses on Teacher Professional Development, Teachers’ Knowledge for Teaching Mathematics, Assessment in Mathematics Education, and Students' Defensive Behaviors. His current research explores strategies to enhance children's proficiency in fraction operations and approaches to managing students' defensive behaviors in mathematics classrooms. 

 Japhet has co-authored several instructional resources for the University of Cape Coast, College of Distance Education, contributing significantly to teacher development and mathematics education. Beyond his research and teaching, Japhet is skilled in curriculum development, instructional design, educational technology integration, and teacher training. He is passionate about fostering inclusive and student-centered learning environments that encourage mathematical thinking and problem-solving.
