Dr. Japhet Kwasi Osiakwan is a mathematics educator in the Department of Mathematics and ICT Education. Japhet has a lot of teaching experience at all the levels of education - He has taught at the basic school level for 5 years, secondary level for 12 years and tertiary level for 6 years. After teaching mathematics for 8 years at St. Augustine's College, Japhet moved to OLA College of Education where he taught a number of mathematics courses for 3 years and then finally joined the University of Cape Coast as a mathematics lecturer. Japhet is currently the co-coordinator of  the School Adopted Project initiated by the College of Education Studies, UCC. Japhet's research interest are: Teacher Professional Development, Teachers' Knowledge for Teaching Mathematics, Teaching and Assessment in mathematics Education, and Students learning of Mathematics. Japhet has a number of publications including modules, textbooks and articles.
