Dr. Godwin Kwame Aboagye is a Senior lecturer at the Department of Science Education, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Cape Coast. Godwin is currently the Coordinator for the Centre for Teaching Support and the Postgraduate Coordinator for the Department of Science Education. He has taught. He has taught science education courses in the University since 2008. He has also taught physics and integrated science in a number of schools namely: Adisadel College, Cape Coast; Koforidua Secondary Technical School, Koforidua; and Dzogadze S. D. A. School Complex, Mafi-Kumase. His research areas of interest include:Physics Education, Concept Development in Physics Education, Research Methods in Science Education, Curriculum Issues in Science Education, Assessment of Students’ Learning, Development of Science Teaching Materials, and Integration of ICT into Teaching.

Dr Godwin Kwame Aboagye has authored over 10 refereed publications based on his areas of interest. He has been a Chief Examiner for science to College of Distance Education, Institute of Education and Institutional Affiliation Office. He have been involved in major research and consultancy services. This includle: Upgrade of Post NAC/NAP to Diploma in Midwifery. A programme organised by Institutional Affiliation Office, University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast, January 2018 - date. My role is to moderate examination questions, facilitate workshops on assessment principles and modern methods of teaching, supervision of examinations, develop instruments for quality assurance, data collection, data entry, analysis of data and writing of reports. Research component of the Secondary Education Improvement Project. A project funded by the World Bank and the Ghana Government, October 2016-July 2017. My role was to develop data collection instruments, data entry, data collection, data analysis and writing of reports. Coordination and Marking Exercises of West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSSCE), West African Examination Council (WAEC), 2007-2016. International training workshops on Value-Based Teaching Skills Development for Improved Students’ Performance in Africa, Supreme Management Training and Consultancy Services Ltd., 2013-2014. He has attended and facilitated a number of international and local conferences, seminars and workshops. He is also a member of University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG), Ghana Association of Science Teachers (GAST), Ghana Science Association (GSA) and currently the patron of Rotaract Club, UCC Chapter.
