Mr. Frederick Nyan is a humble, motivated staff, possesses good interpersonal skills, and is hardworking. He is motivated to provide client-focused services to customers (students, staff, and the general public) of the University of Cape Coast.
He currently serves as a Principal Administrative Assistant at the Teaching and Examination Section, Directorate of Academic Affairs, having worked previously at the Director’s Secretariat, of the same Directorate.
Mr. Nyan holds a Master of Philosophy in Administration in Higher Education. He previously pursued a Bachelor of Education (Social Sciences) [Honours] and Majored in Geography and Economics. Mr. Nyan is a member of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants – Ghana.
He was awarded a certificate by MYCOE, a sub-organization of the United Nations for submitting a youth-led sustainable development project that was showcased at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in 2012.
Mr. Nyan has to his credit memos and research articles geared toward improving the laurels of the University. He has also authored several non-academic opinion pieces on major developmental issues published in the national dailies. He has also published a motivational book “Count Your Step”.
Mr. Nyan aspires to contribute his quota towards helping to sustain the gain made by the University by working hard to improve the laurels made by the Directorate.
He has attended several conferences and workshops geared toward improving his knowledge and skills in a competitive higher education environment.
