Dr. (Mrs.) Felicia Elinam Dzamesi is a Lecturer in early education at the Department of Basic Education, University of Cape Coast, with research interest in play-based approaches to early childhood teaching and learning with particular focus on indigenous play-based learning. As part of her doctoral thesis, Dr. Dzamesi designed, implemented, and evaluated a teacher development programme based on indigenous play in Ghanaian kindergarten schools. Dr. Dzamesi served as a research assistant to the Project for Early Childhood Policy Analysis (PECPA) from 2016-2019, in South Africa, giving her research experience in both Ghanaian and South African contexts.
