Evelyn Asamoah Ampofo, a Nurse/Midwife holds a PhD in Nursing from the University of Alberta, Canada. She currently works at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Cape Coast in Ghana. Evelyn has over 20 years experience in nursing and midwifery practice and education and has always been interested in how midwives generate and utilize knowledge to improve midwifery care and ultimately the health of the mother and new-born. As a researcher her interest is in midwives knowledge development and its impact on maternal health specifically during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. She is also interested in the use of Narrative Inquiry as research methodology to develop midwifery science.
