Elizabeth Darko Agyei is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Science Education at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. She holds a Ph.D. in Science and Technology Education from the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa, a Master's degree in Theoretical Physics from the African University of Science and Technology, Nigeria, a Postgraduate Diploma in Condensed Matter Physics from the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Italy, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Her research interests encompass instructional design, theoretical physics, and the integration of instructional technologies in science education. Her work focuses on fostering interactive, learner-centered environments that promote meaningful learning, particularly in contexts sensitive to local educational needs. Her doctoral research significantly contributes to the field by exploring the development of ICT competencies among pre-service physics teachers, enabling them to facilitate interactive and effective science instruction. This expertise has enabled her to lead training initiatives for both pre-service and in-service teachers, equipping them with ICT-based pedagogical skills for enhancing science education.
