Mr. Ekow Attom Prah obtained his Bachelor of Management Studies degree from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana in 2006. Mr Prah also obtained his Master of Commerce in Human Resource Management degree from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana in 2014. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants-Ghana. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in International Studies at the University of Cape Coast. He has also completed a Professional programme in Human Resources Management at the Galilee International Management Institute, Israel. He has obtained a Professional Certification in Project Planning, Scheduling, and Cost Estimating Skills at Mercury Training and Consulting at Casablanca, Morocco.
Currently, he is the Senior Assistant Registrar at the Centre for Coastal Management and Project Administrator, Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR) Project at the University of Cape Coast. He joined the University of Cape Coast’s administrative system in 2007 as a Senior Administrative Assistant and has worked as an Administrator for the past 18 years and 9 years as a Professional Administrator. His duty tours within the University include the School of Physical Sciences (Dean’s Office), Department of Science and Mathematics Education, Centre for Teaching Support (Founding Administrator), Office of the Dean of Students, School of Physical Sciences, and presently, Centre for Coastal Management (Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience).
He is also the Secretary to the College of Professors at the University of Cape Coast. In addition, he is the Secretary to the International Scientific Advisory Board (ISAB) and Sectoral Advisory Board (SAB) of the ACECoR Project. He is the Coordinator for International Institutional Accreditation for the University of Cape Coast with "The Accreditation Agency for Study Programmes in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASIIN) - based on which the University of Cape Coast has obtained international institutional accreditation with ASIIN from 2023 up to 2030.
His specialty areas are Project Management, International Relations, International Migration, Strategic Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Strategic Management, Compensation and Performance Management, Job Stress, Employee Productivity, and Administrative Filing Systems. He has published two (2) books, namely; Grant Project Management Manual (2024); and Basic Administrative Filing System Manual (2020).
He is a member of the following: Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA), Human Resource in Higher Education Community (Association of Commonwealth Universities), and International Association of Student Affairs and Services (IASAS). He has passion in Project Management and Business Administration, Surfing the Internet for Research, Reading and Listening to music.
