Dr. Angnuureng holds a B.Sc Physics, M.Sc. Physical Oceanography and Application and Ph.D degree in Environmental Physics from the University of Cape Coast, UCC (Ghana), University of Abomey-Calavi (Benin) and University of Bordeaux (France), respectively. He is a Coastal Geomorphologist. He joined UCC in 2014 as a senior research assistant at the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences but was later reappointed a Research Fellow to the Centre for Coastal Management in the same institution. He is currently the Team Lead for Coastal Engineering and Geomorphology under the Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience. Dr. Angnuureng has expertise in coastal hydro-morphodynamics. In the last 10 years, he has conducted research and implemented projects focused on the evolution and monitoring of beach dynamics using satellite data, unmanned aerial vehicles and video cameras on various coastal environments. His research also focuses on the role of sea level anomalies in modulating wave conditions on beach, modelling of the impact of storminess and beach recovery in diverse tidal environments. He has provided lectures in coastal hydro- and geo-morphodynamics at the Masters level in the Unviersity of Abomey-Calavi, Benin, UCC and the University of Douala (2017/2018 academic year). He has proven expertise in Ghana in terms of his research and is widely referenced in various scholarly journals.
