Miss Deborah Nana Otoo is a Procurement Coordinator with the University of Cape Coast. She became part of the University in the year 2012 as Procurement Assistant, rising to the rank of Senior Procurement Assistant in the year 2019 before being promoted to her current position as Principal Procurement Assistant in the year 2024. Having worked as officer in charge of Primary Schools and all the Traditional Halls, she is currently the College Procurement officer for the College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences.
Ms. Deborah hold a Higher National Diploma Certificate(HND) in Purchasing and Supply from the Takoradi Polytechnic which is now known as Takoradi Technical University, a Bachelor degree in Procurement Management from the same Institution and a Master’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from the Kwame Nkrumah Science and Technology in Kumasi. Her area of specialization/interest include E- Procurement, Inventory Management, Procurement Management and Procurement Ethics.
She is intelligent, result-oriented, and adaptable professional with solid qualifications and extensive work experience in demanding environments. Ms. Deborah is an experienced Procurement Practitioner with a proven track record in managing procurement processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, and contributing to the strategic goals of the University. Proficient in supplier negotiation, contract management, and inventory control. She is self-motivated, focused, and willing to take on additional responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Miss Deborah Nana Otoo has participated in and is still serving as a member on various committees and the welfare association of the University. She holds membership with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, CIPS, UK, and the Senior Staff Association-UCC (SSA). Ms. Deborah has attended conferences, seminar and training workshops within the country.
God has gifted her with a charming partner and three lovely children.
