Mr. Daniel Opoku is a seasoned media and communication professional, currently serving as the Junior Assistant Registrar (Senior Member) and Deputy Manager of Campus Broadcasting Services (CBS) at the University of Cape Coast (UCC). CBS is the media and communication wing of the university, operating ATL FM (Radio Station), ATLFMONLINE,COM (News Portal) and TVCC (Online TV).
With over 20 years of experience in the media industry, Mr. Opoku brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to his role. His areas of expertise span broadcasting and communication, event management, university administration, and media operations. He is widely recognized for his skill in radio programming, on-air presentation, media management, and strategic planning.
Mr. Opoku holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Educational Administration, a Master of Arts in Communication Studies, and a Bachelor of Education, all from the University of Cape Coast. He has also undertaken international professional development at the Radio Netherlands Training Centre in Holland, where he received advanced training in media and broadcasting.
Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Opoku has made significant contributions to university media and the broader broadcasting landscape in Ghana. In recognition of his excellence in radio, he was honored with the Best Radio Personality Award in 2014.
He remains committed to shaping the next generation of communicators, enhancing university public relations, and promoting impactful media content that informs, educates, and inspires.
