Charles obtained his Doctor of Engineering in Computer Science and Technology at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in June 2020. He is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, where he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the University of Cape Coast.

In 2022, Charles established the Big Data Research Lab where research into Big Data Technological Infrastructure, Repository and Applications are conducted. He has published scientific articles in international journals and at international conferences. Charles is a peer reviewer for the IEEE access journal and a PC member for Frontiers in Cyber Security Conferences.

Charles enjoys reading, playing and watching football, sightseeing and cooking. He speaks, reads and writes in English, his local language Fante and moderate Mandarin (Chinese).
