Amos Darkwa Asare teaches in the Department of Music and Dance at the University of Cape Coast. He teaches Music Business and an instructor for Applied Music (African Drumming). He is a PhD candidate of the University of Cape Coast, Ghana and the University of Hildesheim, Germany within the framework of the DAAD funded SDG Graduate School: Performing Sustainability: Cultures and Development in West Africa. He is the Executive Director of the Central Vocal Ensemble (CeVEn), a choir affiliated to the Department of Music and Dance, UCC.
His research interests are in Cultural Policy and Arts Management in Ghana, Music Business in Ghana, Global Music Pedagogy, and Indigenous Music and Healing Rituals
