Mr. Alfred Ghartey is currently the Senior Assistant Registrar/Executive Secretary, Pro Vice-Chancellor's Office, University of Cape Coast. Prior to his current position, he worked as the founding Administrator of the Students’ Financial Support Office (SFSO), Assistant Registrar for the Centre for International Education (CIE) and the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Consultancy (DRIC), University of Cape Coast. He was also a Principal Research Assistant at the School of Business.

Mr. Alfred Ghartey holds a Master of Commerce degree in Marketing and Post Graduate Diploma in Education, both from the University of Cape Coast. He obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. He also holds a Certificate in University Leadership and Management Training Programme (UNILEAD) at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, Germany. He also holds a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Galilee International Management Institute, Israel. 

He has attended several local and international conferences/seminars/workshops on international education and higher education management in general. By virtue of his experience in International Education, he has organized and coordinated a number of international conferences in the University of Cape Coast. He has been involved in a number of international students’ recruitment activities. He has served and still serves as Secretary/Member to a number of boards and committees. Mr. Ghartey is currently working with a team of academics to review the University of Cape Coast Curriculum. He has also published in both local and international journals and written a number of memoranda that have made impact in the University of Cape Coast.

He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants – Ghana and a member of Ghana Association of University Administrators.
